H. Kanayama et al., FINITE-ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF AIR-FLOW AROUND AN AUTOMATIC GUIDED VEHICLE, Journal of wind engineering and industrial aerodynamics, 46-7, 1993, pp. 801-810
An upwind finite element scheme for the incompressible viscous flow at
high Reynolds number was proposed by Tabata and Fujima [1]. The schem
e has the potential to approximate the advection term in third-order a
ccuracy. We apply it to a two-dimensional non-stationary analysis of a
ir flow around an Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV), which is initially m
oving at a constant speed and stops after a few seconds with constant
deceleration. The results are qualitatively good and will be soon comp
ared with experimental ones.
