The current interest in growth of legumes in acid soils has stimulated
the search for strains of rhizobia adapted to such soils. In addition
we wished to detect any adaptation of strains to selection pressures
imposed by acid and neutral soils Using the medium developed for this
investigation, we found such adaptation does occur.
