The compositional characteristics (total soluble solids, pH, titratabl
e acidity, moisture, pectin, reducing sugars, nonreducing sugars and t
otal sugars) of four raspberry cultivars ('Boyne', 'Festival', 'Killar
ney' and 'Prestige') sown in Maine were evaluated during three consecu
tive years. Significant differences were found among these cultivars.
In different growing seasons there were also significant effects on th
ese characteristics in the same cultivar.
