P. Bouharmont et J. Awemo, STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF HERBICIDE TREATMEN TS USING ROUNDUP ON THE GROWTH AND PRODUCTION OF ROBUSTA COFFEE TREES, Cafe, cacao, the, 37(3), 1993, pp. 191-194
A trial of soil upkeep in coffee plantations, slashing weeds twice, fo
ur or six times a year or by chemical treatment with Roundup, was cond
ucted in a field of fertilized Robusta coffee trees at the Barombi-Kan
g station (Cameroon). Roundup had a depressive effect on cumulated pro
duction for the first three harvesting years, compared with that for p
lots with four or six annual weed slashing rounds.
