Abstract
A 14-year-old white boy presented with syncope and a left carotid brui t. Arch aortogram showed narrowing of the distal aortic arch, left car otid stenosis, and small left subclavian and vertebral arteries. When aortic arch replacement was carried out a vertical septum was found in the distal arch. Histologic examination suggested this was ductal in origin.
