Abstract
Salmonella is a rare cause of a mediastinal infection. This report des cribes the 14-year natural history of a mediastinal mass with eventual abscess formation. Computed tomography provided excellent visualizati on, and surgical drainage afforded prompt diagnosis and treatment.
