Abstract
A sumulation model describes heat transfer in extruders. It enables he at exchange between the extruder barrel and the melt to be improved by specific design and processing measures. Plastics processors can disc over which measures are required to achieve optimized temperature cont rol and overcome their particular extrusions problems.
