Ls. Travnikova et al., ROLE OF PRODUCTS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN ORGANIC AND MINERAL COMPONENTS IN SOIL GENESIS AND FERTILITY, Eurasian soil science, 25(3), 1993, pp. 70-88
A concept is proposed whereby the variability of soils and their ferti
lity are determined mainly by the combination of levels of accumulatio
n, ratio, nature, and properties of the three main groups of organic m
atter and products of their interaction with mineral components. A sch
eme for separation of soil organic matter according to stability and c
oncept of humus formation, and new informative criteria for soil humus
state and supply are proposed.
