Abstract
The experimentally predicted existence of a proton skin in B-8 is conf irmed by dynamical microscopic cluster model calculations. The thickne ss of the proton skin in B-8 is 0.5 fm while in Li-8 a 0.4 fm thick ne utron skin has been found. It is shown that the large quadrupole momen t of B-8 partly comes from the very distortable Be-7 core.
