Abstract
Aqueous extracts of goldfish corpuscles of Stannius (CS) were administ ered to the stingray, Dasyatis akajei to investigate the effects on th e plasma magnesium levels. Hypermagnesemia was observed 1 h after trea tment with CS extract. This response increased gradually untill 3 h. T hereafter, the levels returned to control values at 6 h.
