Abstract
Eight species originally described from Typha and previously placed in Leptosphaeria were reexamined. Herbarium specimens (types, where avai lable) were embedded in resin and sectioned for light microscopy and t he species redescribed and illustrated. Of the eight species studied, none were found to belong in Leptosphaeria and one new combination has been proposed.
