Abstract
The preparation of tritiated phosphoryl choline containing linear poly mers by the reduction of an acetylenically unsaturated polymer with tr itium gas is described. Homogeneous catalysis was used and the product was analysed by H-1 and H-3-nmr spectroscopy. The use of lanthanide s hift reagents showed that 98% of the isotope was located in the 7 and 8 positions of the hydrophobic chains.
