Abstract
Previous studies have demonstrated that the addition of a protein sold er to augment the laser tissue weld significantly improves postoperati ve results. Herein we describe a method for the preparation of human a lbumin for use as a laser tissue solder. We also review the brief hist ory of laser tissue solders and discuss recent advances using this tec hnology. (C) 1993 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
