Abstract
Stable and house fly infestations can have a significant economic impa ct on beef and dairy cattle. Fly control is a difficult, complex task, and a successful management program should integrate the reduction of fly breeding sources and judicious use of insecticides. The biology a nd history of the stable fly and house fly are discussed, along with e conomic and control method considerations.
