Rb. Taylor, DEVELOPMENT OF A ROBUST CIM LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT USING MULTICRITERIA GOAL-SETTING AND EVALUATION, Computers & industrial engineering, 25(1-4), 1993, pp. 523-526
The design of a CIM laboratory environment that will satisfy multiple
criteria is difficult at best. Monetary concerns limit the range of op
tions. There are competing factions vying for use of the lab. There ar
e factors of design of the equipment which prevent physically moving i
t when a new need is identified. This paper presents an analysis that
was performed upon the design of the CIM laboratory at OSU. The chosen
design will control the decisions upon which equipment is purchased a
nd the overall layout of the facility. The software that is used to fa
cilitate the analysis is MIMES (Taylor, 1993).
