Abstract
A study of the history and systems of the psychology of learning is su bstantive and complex, but the controversy over what is learning and w hat are the products of the learning process should be studied by teac hers. The emphasis of learning on the stimulus side by Pavlov to the f ocus of reward and reinforcement on the response side by Thorndike and Skinner should be evaluated. The bridge from S-R to S-O-R learning by Mowrer's emotional conditioning, and the interpretation of internal a nd cognitive factors of social learning (Bandura) and information syst ems theory should be examined. From social learning and information sy stems has emerged a psychology of pedagogy.
