LEGBAC - CHURCH HOUSE TO MALAGA VIA AVIEMORE

This article describes the development, by a group of West European ad ministrations, of a method for evaluating the compatibility between VH F/FM broadcasting transmissions and the aeronautical radionavigation s ervices which operate in the frequency band of about 108 to 118 MHz. I n addition to a calculation method, the group also developed a set of administrative procedures and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The method and the procedures have now been in use for several years and have resulted in the successful coordination of many hundreds of VHF/F M stations while maintaining full compatibility with the aeronautical radionavigation services.
