OLD BELIEFS OF POSTMODERN SOCIETY

The dimensions of the Postmodernity Scale, which are analyzed in a sam ple of young, middle age and old people, are used in this paper as the background for a reflexion on nowadays societies and the role that ag e plays in social bellefs. The threefold axis for analysis, ''democrat ic ways of life'', ''technical mastery over the present'' and ''egocen tric social relationships'', defined the study of potmodern beliefs.
