Abstract
The concept of Anticipated Retirement is discussed. Its legal sense an d the changes observed in the traditional meaning of retirement as a c onsequence of the introduction of Anticipated Retirement programs in O rganizations are also considered. Finally, lines of intervention, from a psychosocial approach, in an anticipated retirement program are des cribed. The program objective is to reduce the work force in an organi zation.
