MOBILITY AND GENDER IN A SEGMENTED LABOR-MARKET - A CLOSER LOOK

Male and female workers' labor segment location and intersegment mobil ity processes are compared to assess the existence and nature of inequ alities in the structure of labor market opportunity. Findings indicat e significant differences in segment location, upward occupational mob ility and opportunity structures across gender groups.
