Abstract
A cellular automaton, with two states per site and with a probabilisti c behaviour for the transition, is studied. With the selected rule the automaton has two absorbing phases. A reanimation factor epsilon is i ntroduced along with a factor p related to the probability of the tran sition. Results of a mean-field approximation are compared with numeri cal simulations of the automata showing the existence of collective be haviour for some values of p and epsilon.
