Abstract
A pertubation technique has been applied to the infinite-U Hubbard mod el on a 2 X 4 lattice with four holes. The ground-state energy and spi n we obtained are very close to that obtained by the exact diagonaliza tion method. Our results indicate that the Nagaoka state is unstable f or a hole concentration of 0.5 in the thermodynamic limit.
