Abstract
The branching ratio of a rare radiative decay of the omega meson has b een measured: Br(omega --> etagamma) = (8.3 +/- 2.1) . 10(-4). The ome ga mesons were produced in charge-exchange pi-p scattering at an energ y of 38 GeV and at large values of the momentum transfer, at which ome ga-rho interference is suppressed. The GAMS-2000 multiphoton spectrome ter was used to detect gamma rays from the decay of the omega mesons.
