Abstract
The genus Phorticella, previously known only from the oriental and aus tralasian regions, is reported for the first time from the afrotropica l region. Two new species are described and their terminalia illustrat ed : Phorticella (Xenophorticella) madagascariensis, sp.n, from Madaga scar and Phorticella (Xenophorticella) ochroptera, sp.n. from Sumatra.
