Abstract
Experimental data is presented on the effectiveness of using ultrasoun d to detect surface (''close-to-surface'') contamination of materials and articles used in space technology. After testing eight different m ethods of ''sonication'' of samples, the optimal method was selected w hich is recommended for use in analyses of surface and close-to-surfac e contamination of articles by microorganisms.
