Abstract
A convergent of [b]-annealed tetrahydrocarbazoles through a radical ca tion Diels-Akler reaction is described. The reaction is induced by pho to electron transfer (PET). The previously predicted stepwise mechanis m of this reaction type is proved by stereochemical analysis of the pr oducts.
