Abstract
This short note presents the chemical preparation and recording of the fluorescence spectra of a new series of Tb3+-doped (La, Gd)OF, (La, G d)OCl, (La, Y)OF and (La, Y)OCl powder phosphors. These phosphors have displayed green colour emission when irradiated with UV light. The me asured fluorescence levels have been characterized by determining thei r-stimulated emission cross-sections.
