Abstract
Using a dispersed repeat in rice referred to as pOSMIC-2, an attempt w as made to assess the genetic variability among 18 indica cultivars. B ased on the RFLP data and Nei's F values obtained by using three enzym es viz. Dral, EcoRV and Scal, a dendogram was constructed which clearl y indicated similarities and differences among these rice cultivars.
