Abstract
The authors analyse the performance of two interleaving schemes, calle d frame-oriented and cell-oriented, for statistical multiplexing of MP EG video sources. Simulations using two long MPEG sequences show that there is a trade-off in cell loss probability and delay jitter when se lecting the interleaving scheme.
