Aa. Ribeiro, F-19,C-13 CORRELATIONS IN A HIGHLY FLUORINATED ALKYL CHAIN AND COUPLING-CONSTANT SIGNS AT THE FLUOROCARBON HYDROCARBON INTERFACE/, Magnetic resonance in chemistry, 35(4), 1997, pp. 215-221
The first F-19,C-13 HMQC correlations with full carbon decoupling and
the first HMBC correlations using fluorine detection methods are repor
ted, and combined with F-19-decoupled C-13 data and F-19, F-19 COSY an
d TOCSY to derive the F-19 and C-13 assignments for the highly fluorin
ated alkanol 8,8,8 7,7 6,6 5,5 4,4 3,3-tridecafluorooctan-1-ol. The an
alyses of unique sets of multiple F-19,C-13 and H-1,C-13 cross peaks p
rovides information about the relative signs of the coupling constants
at the fluorocarbon/hydrocarbon interface.
