The recent trend is to revascularize the entire heart with arterial gr
afts. Five selected patients were operated using the mammary Y-graft f
or complete arterial revascularization. The immediate postoperative co
urses were uneventful. One patient presented five months later with at
ypical angina and a string phenomenon at the distal part of the Y-graf
t on catheterization, without ischemic changes on stress test. The fou
r other patients had no complaints and no ischemic changes on stress t
est nine months to 4.5 years later. Using the mammary Y-graft a comple
te arterial revascularization can be accomplished.
