T. Sugiura et H. Honjo, A MODEL TO PREDICT FRUIT-GROWTH FROM SOLA R-RADIATION AND TEMPERATUREDATA FOR JAPANESE PEAR, Engei Gakkai Zasshi, 65(3), 1996, pp. 505-512
To explain and predict the relation between weather and fruit growth i
n Japanese pear(Pyrus pyriforia Nakai, cv. Kosui), a model was constru
cted based on solar radiation and field growth data obtained from seve
ral regions in Japan. As a result of simulation, the following equatio
n applicable to the estimation of the fruit growth under usual and unu
sual weather in every region was formulated. [GRAPHICS] where Vx is es
timated fruit volume at x days after flowering, V-33 is observed fruit
volume 33 days after flowering, kn is parameter indicating seasonal c
hange in the influence of Sd, Sd is observed daily solar radiation, p
= 0.580 and b = 0.639. Transverse diameter of fruit at x days after fl
owering (wx) can be estimated from the following equation. [GRAPHICS]
them carried specific fragments derived from 'Hazzara (Abohar)'. Other
s, however, carried specific fragments derived from both parents. Poss
ible causes for such band patterns are discussed from a genetical view
point.
