Y. Fujimoto et al., BIOSYNTHESIS OF 20-HYDROXYECDYSONE IN AJUGA HAIRY ROOTS - HYDROGEN MIGRATION FROM C-6 TO C-5 DURING CIS-A B RING FORMATION/, Tetrahedron letters, 38(15), 1997, pp. 2697-2700
Feeding of deuterium labeled cholesterols including [6-H-2]cholesterol
and [3 alpha,6-H-2(2)]cholesterol to hairy roots of Ajuga reptans var
. atropurpurea followed by H-2-NMR analysis of the biosynthesized 20-h
ydroxyecdysone revealed that most of the deuterium atom located at C-6
of cholesterol migrated to the C-5 position of 20-hydroxyecdysone. (C
