Abstract
A patient with fatal polyarteritis nodosa is described. In spite of overwhe lming clinical signs the diagnosis of PAN could not be confirmed by angiogr aphy nor histology of macroscopic clearly involved small bowel tissue. Hist ology of lower limb tissue after amputation confirmed the diagnosis.
