A. Saxena et al., Crystallization and preliminary X-ray crystallographic studies on apolipoprotein H (B2-glycoprotein-I) from human plasma, ACT CRYST D, 54, 1998, pp. 1450-1452
Apolipoprotein-H (Apo-H, M-w similar or equal to 50 kDa) is a carbohydrate-
rich human-plasma protein which exists in blood serum in the free form as w
ell as distributed between several classes of lipoproteins; Single crystals
of apo-H have been obtained and crystallographic data sets have been colle
cted. The crystals belong to the orthorhombic space group C222(1), with cel
l dimensions a = 158.47, b = 169.25, c = 113.28 Angstrom (at 100 K). The da
ta indicate that the crystallographic asymmetric unit contains one tetramer
of the protein.
