The paper reports an application of Generalised Canonical Correlation Analy
sis to fluorescence spectral data. Emission fluorescence spectra can be rec
orded for several excitation wavelengths and can be presented as 3-way data
tables. The objectives of the data treatment are to describe and compare t
he samples by taking into account all the emission spectra, and to reveal c
haracteristic excitation and emission wavelengths. Generalised Canonical Co
rrelation Analysis has been tested on fluorescence emission spectra acquire
d for binary mixtures of raw materials in the food domain. The application
of the method within the context oi spectral data is presented.
