Abstract
As a rule, coatings deposited by means of are technologies have a thic kness up to 0.2 mm because of strong residual stresses. However, the p ossibility of thick coating deposition would be highly desirable for t he solution of some industrial problems. Experiments on thick (approxi mate to 1 mm thickness) Be and Ti coatings deposition on stainless ste el, Cu and other specimens by means of are techniques are described. D ata on adhesion and density of the deposited coatings are presented.
