Abstract
A transformation system was developed for the mycoparasitic filamentou s fungus Trichoderma harzianum, based upon complementation of auxotrop hic mutants. Prototrophic transformants were obtained using plasmids p Sa123 and pAN5-41B, carrying the Aspergillus nidulans argB gene, and b oth the Aspergillus nidulans argB and Escherichia coli lacZ genes, res pectively.
