Abstract
As experience with beta-blocker use in patients with congestive heart failu re is increasing, enthusiasm for carvedilol use in these patients is also i ncreasing. Dermatological reactions to carvedilol are rare and have not bee n well described in the literature. A patient who developed an acute dermat ological reaction after one dose of 3.125 mg carvedilol is presented. Given the rapid onset of symptoms experienced by the patient after a single, sma ll dose of carvedilol, clinicians should be aware of the potential adverse effects of the drug.
