Abstract
Characteristic equation for the cylindrical TM(010)-microwave plasma c avity is given. Analytical expression and perturbation formula for the resonant frequency of TM(010) mode dependence of plasma are derived. A comparison between exact and approximate solution shows that the per turbation theory can be used accurately to analyze the detuning of the cavity caused by microwave plasma with a tolerance less than 5%.
