Abstract
This paper is devoted to the study of natural convection in a rectangular s lender differentially heated inclined cavity. Results from the stability an alysis of the basic flow to transversal and longitudinal disturbances are c ompared to numerical predictions of different types of transitions to multi cellular flow in two-dimensional closed geometries.
