Abstract
The dependence of the Whittaker function M-kappa,M-mu(z) on the parameter k appa is considered. AG convergent expansion in ascending powers and an asym ptotic expansion in descending powers of kappa are discussed. Some properti es of the coefficients of the convergent expansion are shown.
