Abstract
A link between long-term potentiation (LTP) and memory has been supported b y learning defects following treatments that impair LTP. Important new evid ence for the link comes from mutant mice lacking the nociceptin receptor, w hich show improved learning and memory accompanied by enhanced LTP.
