This paper describes an experimental set-up designed to measure the conduct
ivity of aluminosilicates melts at different temperatures up to 1650 degree
s C. This conductivity cell has allowed to study the conductivity versus te
mperature of the gehlenite (2CaOAl(2)O(3)SiO(2)) during the solidification
and fusion processes. It might be useful to improve the knowledge in glass-
forming liquids.
