Recently, a lot of interest has been generated on the behavior of the zero-
bias conductance peak (ZBCP) observed in high-T-c superconductor tunnel jun
ctions. It is believed that the properties of the ZBCP suggest the pairing
symmetry of the superconductor. The ZBCP shows interesting responses with t
emperature and applied fields. In this paper we report results of measureme
nts of the ZBCP up to a magnetic field of 5 tesla. Many of our junctions us
e a Pb film as the counter electrode, which is superconducting when T less
than or equal to 7.2 K and H less than or equal to 0.08 T. This provides us
with a unique opportunity for studying the interaction between superconduc
tors with different pairing symmetry.
