It has been recently reported that some of the CDC25 genes have been i
mplicated in the progression of cell cycle and might display oncogenic
properties in mammalian cells. Therefore, the inhibition of this phos
phatase may hold promise in the treatment of human cancer. In this stu
dy, we demonstrated that cdc25 phosphatase can be inactivated by menad
ione and that the loss of enzymatic activity was due to the modificati
