Abstract
Heterobimetallic chloride isopropoxide derivatives of the types, [{M[Nb(OPr i)(5)Cl](mu-Cl)}(2)] and [M{Nb(OPri)(5)Cl}(2)] [where M = Be(II), Mg(II), Z n(II) and Sn(II)] have been synthesized by the reactions of metal chlorides with niobium pentaisopropoxide in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios, respectively. All these novel derivatives have been characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements, and spectroscopic (IR, H-1, C-13 and Sn-119 NMR) studies.
