Abstract
X-ray K-absorption near edge structure studies of some copper (II) mixed li gand complexes have been done using Cauchois type curved crystal spectrogra ph of 0.4 m radius, The studies have been carried out in solid as well as a queous solution forms. The values of chemical shift in solid form is more t han the values of chemical shift in solution form for each complex None of the complex in solid form show splitting while the complexes in aqueous sol ution form show splitting of K=absorption edge. This gives an idea about th e octahedral geometry of the complexes. The percentage covalency and fracti onal oxidation number is also calculated in the study.
