Abstract
The polarization dependences of the two-beam-coupling gain coefficient were measured at various orientations of the index-grating wave vector in a cub ic Bi12TiO20 crystal. The dependences calculated with consideration for the contribution of photoelastic effect to the effective electrooptic constant were found to agree well with experiment. By fitting experimental data to the expressions obtained, the electrooptic constant of a strain-free crysta l and photoelastic constants were determined.
