Abstract
It is shown that in an amorphous ribbon with transverse anisotropy, th e magnetostatic energy associated with spatial fluctuations of the loc al magnetization depends on the magnetization state. The corresponding magnetostatic interactions can play an important role in the magnetic behaviour of the amorphous ribbons with small macroscopic anisotropy.
